Then it was onward to Antioch.  I immediately saw the hummingbird through the kitchen window feeding vigorously at the feeder.  Into the backyard I went, up went the trap and like the textbook says, “in goes the bird”.  Bingo!  I had winter hummingbird #3.  My initial ID from the pictures turned out to correct; another Rufous hummingbird.  This one was a hatch year female with 70% grooving on her bill.
